My new soapbox

Welcome to my new blog! I am a genealogy nut and a Product Manager in the genealogy industry. I spend A LOT of time looking at new toys and tools for genealogists. I also spend my spare time dreaming up new things that I would like to make my life easier. I am also fairly sure that the internet has triggered a case of adult onset ADD. 😉 I bounce from one place to the other checking out all the new shiny things that catch my attention.

Aren’t you lucky that the internet makes it so easy for a nut like me to have a public outlet?  I look forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences with you. The purpose of this blog ( I figured I better state one just to keep myself focused) is to share my findings as I do my family history.

You can expect honest reviews of anything I find out there that I feel may be a help for you. I want to help people just looking into their heritage for the first time as well as try to share a few tips with the professionals if I find anything to add.

I will also talk about my own personal family history as I do my own research. I will do this in an attempt to illustrate things as well as a hope that someone may tie into my family tree and contact me. I always love to meet new cousins and collaborate on our research.

Dusty – I know how much I enjoy getting comments at my blog, so I’ll leave your very first comment here. Congrats on starting your new blog! I’m looking forward to learning more about you and about the interesting genealogy tools you find online.

The header image is rather large, but I love the clean, simple look. No adds, no counters, no WebRing buttons, no silliness at all. Great.
